Celebrity News: Amanda Holden introduces Hollie Rose

Amanda take all the time you need

With a wide smile on her face, Amanda Holden  introduces her baby daughter – just two weeks after her life-threatening childbirth ordeal.

The 40-year-old Britain’s Got Talent star nearly died after giving birth to her second daughter, Hollie Rose.

Miss Holden went into labour a week early while filming for the ITV talent show and was given ‘several pints’ of blood during a transfusion following complications with her caesarean birth.

The blonde entertainer was kept in intensive care for three days – and was forced apart from her newborn daughter, who weighed in at just over six pounds on January 23.

Her traumatic childbirth follows the devastating loss of her baby son.

She suffered a stillbirth while seven months pregnant last February, and in 2010 she had also suffered a miscarriage.

Amanda states she wants to get back to work as soon as possible and we may well see her on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel soon.  This concerns me I have to say I just wonder if she will have had enough time to get over what must have been an horrific deal, will she have had enough time to bond with her baby? No doubt though the bosses will be pushing her back asap with her replacement Carmen Electra getting a luke warn reception to say the least.

Amanda take as much time as you need your career will still be waiting.

Amanda Holden ‘nearly died’ as she gave birth to baby girl Hollie

Amanda Holden was recovering in hospital last night after coming close to death while giving birth to her second daughter.

The star – whose son was stillborn last year when she was seven months pregnant – was in a ‘critical condition’ for three days as she battled for life, it emerged yesterday.

Her second daughter, Hollie Rose, was born on Monday by Caesarean section at a London hospital. The baby weighed in at 6lb 1oz and is ‘healthy’, although she has been placed in a special care unit.

The announcement of the birth was delayed by 40-year-old Miss Holden’s  family until her condition had stabilised yesterday afternoon.

A close friend said: ‘Amanda nearly died. It was a life threatening situation. There was a huge loss of blood.’

Our hearts, prayers and thoughts go out to Amanda and her new daughter. We have seen Amanda go through the worse thing imaginable and I for one feel for her and her family at this time.

It really makes you appreciate how lucky we are as women to have children and natural births it is so easy to forget the trauma that some women can go through.
All our Love Amanda
